Have you ever read a rare bird alert or a post on a birding listserv and wondered where where a certain birding location was? Or are you a visual person who is bad with written directions? Below is a link to a Google Map showing numerous birding locations in San Bernardino (blue markers), Riverside (green markers), and Imperial Counties (purple markers). The purpose of this map is to make it easier for you to know where the birds are being seen and make it easier for you to get there. In addition to popular birding locations, the map also includes the location of all scheduled San Bernardino Valley Audubon Society field trips and carpooling/meeting locations (pink markers) for SBVAS field trips. All locations are also indexed alphabetically by colored marker on the left-hand side of the page. To get directions to a location, simply click on the marker and select "Get directions: To here" and then enter your starting address in the box and click "Get directions." If you have any suggestions for additions to the map, please be sure to let me know.
